If you don't get split necks anneal before you reload them.

Watch for split necks on only one firing. Can you elaborate? I’m amusing you are referring to after being shot? One firing, some necks may split. The ones that split become scrap brass and cannot be reloaded. The ones that do not split, as was mentioned, clean and anneal them after that first firing. If they are annealed every two firings, they will last for several more firings. I really like Hornady brass, even for. 22-250, but there's something odd about their .22-250 brass that it frequently splits on just one firing. I've seen as much as 10% of the rounds fired.
