I won't be taking the day off (maybe cut out a few hours early), but will definately being hunting opening day. I hunt right outside my house though.

I work in the evenings. So I'll be hunting every morning I can as long as the action stays good. I'll leave the weekends for the yahoos.

For the first time in 20+ yrs, I'll probably pass on taking Sep 1 off, and just sneak off about 3pm for an evening hunt. Dove numbers have been down around here for several years, somewhat diminishing the excitement.
If it looks promising, we'll show up in force Sat morning!

Taking off the 1st and 2nd and going west. Then have to head to Amarillo for the weekend on a non-hunting trip but might mix some in if there is time.

Taking off on the 1st with some others on the lease. Plan is to hunt in the morning, fish during the mid-day and then hunt again in the evening. the rest of the week will be hunting in the evening as soon as I get out of work (dove lease is 15 minutes from the house).

Will hunt opening morning before work, and maybe that evening as well. Then Fri evening, Sat morning and Sun morning.

the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

I should be home byd opening day, and will be off for a couple months..but it seems my dove lease is a no-go

i am going to take a day of leave, have not missed opening day since i started dove hunting.
she said ,why does that ammo have pretty green tips on it? the guy said its the eco-friendy ammo.

If opening day was not on my RDO I scheduled it off.
My only PROBLEM IS.....IT IS MY WIFES BIRTHDAY!
I can't get her to change/slide it one way or the other....
