The man who set my new one up took the old one away.

Also, I read a lot which limits my time in front of the TV.

Call the city recycle center, aka The Dump.

I would, if we had one..
Closes one is in Ranger.. And if you don't live in Ranger.
You won't believe what they charge.

Put it in the street in front of your house call the city and tell them somebody dumped it, Wipe it down wear gloves.

I bought a Samsung Q90T (last year's 4K top of the line) floor model on clearance when the new ones like yours came out. It was wall mounted so they lost the stand and the remote so it was pretty cheap. They ended up giving me the metal remote from the Q900T (last year's 8K top of the line). I also picked up a VESA table top stand on Amazon for $16 bucks, works fine. Got out the door for $1100. If I needed a new TV right now I would buy the Hisense U8G, if I was trying to stay in the same price range, or the LG C1 if I was a baller.

Just bought a new TV a week or so ago. I have to say, I feel foolish. Cant support the decision at all. Wife picked it out, its a 70 inch LG. I dont know about any of the mumbo jumbo spoken about above. I like looking at trail cam pictures on it, the deer are nearly life size!

It's ok, your tv will be obsolete by the end of the year and much cheaper by this time next year.

LOL im sure it will, technology changes so fast. This TV is HUGE compared to our last one (bought in 2011 when we got married) and did not cost much more than that one.

Got a new 70" Samsung for Christmas, it is very nice and what is surprising is how inexpensive they are/were!
If they stay this cheap next year I might do an 80" with all of the blah, blah, blah on it up

It’s funny how you title almost every thread you make as a question so you can show off your stuff. I feel like you don’t really care if I’ve bought a tv recently. You should just title It “check out my new tv” or “look at my flasks”.

If it works couldn't you take it to Goodwill or Can Help? When my wife was still teaching elementary school we took more than one TV to a needy family that she knew of. They were glad to get them.

And on the technology discussions I'm so far behind I don't know what any of the terminology means, like 4k, 8k, etc. The two semi inexpensive flat screen TVs we have seem to have a decent picture and thats about all that matters to me. Just how sharp does Fox News need to be? roflmao Yeah, i'm getting old-er.
