Ask for the dept manager for the ammunition. Not sure if there are several or not, but I spoke with a young lady who was in that role and she was pretty helpful on letting me know what they had out or to be stocked on whatever day I called. She was very friendly about it. May save you a trip.

Interesting as I met a young man who was super helpful. He told me to quit focusing on Fridays as deliveries are Mon-Thurs. He also stated that the people assigned to answer calls are given a detailed list of what’s available and are savvy now, with all the supply and demand issues, and can actually communicate what they have in stock. Hence no wasted trip.

I have not called yet and got sidetracked with work to get there this week. I may call in the morning.

I've been twice and have yet to see anything I wanted. I don't expect I'll be there very often.

I was actually impressed with which apparel segments they carry from different brands. They tend to carry upper echelon as a whole. Where kohls not so much. They tend to carry bottom segments of the different brands.

I wouldn't know the difference. I get my jeans at Dickie's and T-shirts wherever. They do have some nice rifles and optics though.

My wife's in the industry, only reason I notice.

I recently made my first trip to Scheels and I thought they had a really great selection and the CS was good too.
I will drop in anytime I make the trip up that way.
Cabelas has been disappointing since the Bass Pro takeover so I may move my business to Scheels.

I have bought quite a bit of bullets from them in the past few months.

I switched CC’s from cabelas to scheels. They do their point redemption weird though.

'Wish we had one down here. My son-in-law gave me a King's 1/2 zip pullover as a gift that he bought at the Salt Lake store. I use it all the time.

As stated, Cabela's/Bass Pro ain't what they used to be, and for that matter, neither is Academy. 'Still use my Cabela's credit card some, but only go by the Bass Pro occasionally and apply my points on something I need.

ordered a scope from them today Saved $850 in reward cards. Nice, then ordered Nightforce rings from Europtics

You can handle most of the long guns without waiting at a counter for someone to hand it to you. In about 5-10 minutes you can get a real feel for what you may want, then order it from Grabagun and save a couple of hundred dollars. I buy a lot from them due to the great selection, but no guns. Pelican Vault, Fenix head lamp, Sitka Gear, Bench Made knife.........I just put about $11,000.00 on my Scheels card on remodel material for the house. Pay it off, get Scheels points, get a Sitka shirt, knife, I like Scheels.
