Well as expected I drew 10 for 10 for 2nd drawings. Sounds very familiar so far. Most of my whatever they call them Points are not large...but running around 6 LP's per category & my EXO is 21 LP's . So we'll see after the 2nd drawing's are announced. Ya'll take care.
Oh lemme ask this ? Anybody else have their Customer ID # rejected, and can only access the Account by using private Info that I normally NEVER give out on the INet....or is this Situation Normal like it was in the old days ? I also have a Permit # shown most of the time I access my account. but my account does not show anything but 2nd Drawings scheduled...Hmmmm Ron

I have a hard time hunting the Sam without the anterless permit. Those odds go waaaaay down if you're only able to take a 13"+ or spike buck but a doe gives you a fighting chance

And you are right about making it tougher. The biggest reason I got into bow hunting was because your not required to have a doe permit out there during bow season.

My son and I hit Pat Mayes! It’s been a good 15 years since I’ve now hunted it, but I’m very optimistic!

What is the most you have ever drawn in one year?
I have only ever drawn one per year and had a year between draws.
Neither one was for deer.

Neither one was for deer. Last year was my 4th year for drawings and my son hit 3 youth hunts and I hit 2 bow hunts! It was a awesome deer season, especially since we lost our lease the year before.

Neither one was for deer. My best year was six wins. But I put in for every single hunt that year. That was also before they cubed points. I put in for every hunt this year and I’m at 3 wins.

More loyalty points for me in all the 9-15 draws. Didn't expect to get drawn for GDA with no points after getting drawn last year, but had fingers crossed that the cubing of the points would help with my 13 GDE points, but struck out again. Same for other categories.

Points programs are a bad, idea and cubing them will only make it worse.
This is the situation in Montana and North Dakota.
With the number of people that apply for these hunts in Texas it will exacerbate it.

Does it make sense to put all your entry's in one drawing cycle ?...like I did before I began to slightly understand the totally new to me drawing system a little better. It's been 5+ years since I tried to score a Lottery Hunt. I'm also curious about the 2nd Round of 9/15 drawing that comes from folks who got drawn in the 9/15 cycle but failed to pay up in time... How does that work with Entry fee's ..another $3 each? and how long will it be up on Line ?
I still miss the old Newspaper Paper print booklet's that were super simple...Oh well here's hoping I can score a hunt ... Ron I miss it too, too many people apply now, to many out of staters and probably PETA types applying. They need to require non-residents to buy a hunting license before they can apply for the draws.

First year they had this new system we drew 6 hunts but had to turn down 2 of them because the dates over lapped with other hunts. So far this year a big 0. It's been 3 years now with no hunts. Just to many applying for a few slots.

I just put in as the deadlines come up and not all at once. When I was getting 4-6 hunts a year that seems like an easy price to pay.

I am relatively new to the drawn hunt system. Does everyone receive the notice “Pending 2nd Drawing”? Or does that mean I am in a smaller pool if someone turns down their position?

I think all the unselected are in the pool for the 2nd chance. Cross your fingers, I've received a couple of great hunts on the second round! I'm providing a second chance for someone this year for the anterless draw at Bastrop. Something else came up on the hunt date & have to give it up. Really wanted to try for a Red Deer Stag.
