Mine go down below 3lbs anyway, which is just right for me. I don't like real light triggers on hunting rifles personally.

Tikka is by far the best factory trigger I've ever used, and I've tried a bunch of them. They're as good as the aftermarket options for savage and rem.

Changing the spring has made the Tikka triggers as good as any aftermarket for my use. Now salvage on the other hand, I’ve tried to love the accutrigger, it’s not a thing.

Which spring did you use?

They’re likely all the same but this one is great.

Wouldn’t it be best to let the next owner choose?

I'd just wait on the trigger. You'll likely buy Tikka, unbox it and become so bored with your decision you'll list it that day.

Pull the barreled action out. Turn down the trigger to my liking. Put the barreled action back in the stock. Run it, until the barrel is shot out. Rebarrel and go again.

One trigger is on about 3700 rounds fired, no telling how many dry fires.
Number 2 is at 2000 rounds fired, no telling how many dry fires.
Number 3 is at 1000 rounds fired, no telling how many dry fires.

And if I had a rifle with a Jewel trigger, I would have a spare trigger with me. So I could get back in service when the Jewel quit working.

I adjusted my Tikka down to 1.5 without any special springs. Surprised the heck out of me.

My stock Tikka T3X trigger is about as clean and crisp as it gets. A whole new trigger is wasted money IMHO. A trigger spring is all you need, if even that.
