Just wanted to update you all on my trip to Cabo in case some of you were thinking of going.

Flew in on Thursday morning and out on Monday morning. We stayed at the Riu Palace. It was a very nice, mostly quiet resort. Mix of all walks of life and ages. The food was ok, reminded me of cruise food. Drinks were flowing to offset mediocre food! Went into town and the marina 3 of the days. Took a fishing charter one day and it was the roughest trip I had been on. The fishing was tough but we caught some Dorado that we took straight to the restaurant and eat. They fixed it seven different ways and it was fantastic. Went snorkeling one day, took a tour to the beach and the arch one day that was amazing. We never felt unsafe and only had to mask up to enter the restaurants. The people were super friendly and welcoming at every place we went. Typical street vendors and drug pushers but it was tolerable.

The worst part was the Covid test to leave the resort. Which I learned could be bought if you happen to test positive lol! We did run off some Washington and Cali folks when a discussion turned to politics and Trump! It was hilarious!

Would recommend to anyone even with kids. It may be my new favorite quick trip destination. Can’t wait to get back soon!

I love the fishing at Cabo, I always felt safe there, but I wouldn't take my grand kids there.

Haven’t been. Heard beaches were like gravel. How was sand?!

I've been and beaches back towards town are gravelly, almost like fine ground up shells. Less like that the farther away from town at the resort hotels. Water was too cold for me to go into; see a lot of wetsuits too.

But I recall, all of them nights down in Mexico
One place I may never go in my life again
Was I just off somewhere or just too high?
But I can't remember if we said goodbye

Why not? I have taken my wife and 3 kids 7 times in the last 10 years. I even rent a car and we venture around some days to go to Chileno Bay or Ceritos for good beaches. We have always felt safe everywhere we've been in the area.

The fishing is fantastic- Pisces never disappoints.

Did you do all inclusive?
Not prying, but what did four days run ?

I think it was close to a grand a person for flight and resort. Our alcohol consumption alone might have cost that somewhere else! We started at breakfast and didn’t stop till bed time
