Cut this past week have a choice of hunting milo or corn for opener. Opinions on which one dove prefer or does it matter as long as groceries are on the ground. Corn has some water on it as well.

Milo

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

I would say Milo, but if there has been no rain for several days water might be the bomb. I did hunt a cut corn field once near Waxahachie. One of those times I was just driving through the area, happened to have a shotgun and shells with me, saw a field off the road with an insane amount of birds flying around it. Asked permission at the nearest house and ended up having one heck of a nice hunt in that cut corn field.

Agreed, maze/milo if you have it; but especially evenings find water... get between maze and water

Agree with above...sometimes water will hunt better especially when it is dry. Unfortunately, where I am hunting it will be opposite.

Don't let the game warden see you.

I used to have a place in Valley View to hunt. The owner had a grain processing facility. Right before hunting season, he would put out the contaminated material around a field.

I heard he stopped that when a few judges/ city officials he let hunt there were given tickets.
