Wasn’t sure where to post it but not sure really where to start with supressors, want one for a bolt action of some sort in the future for hogs and eventually a thermal. Can someone guide me on where to look or who to talk to, to educate me on this. Thank you

What’s the most important aspect of a suppressor to you? Weight? Decibel reduction? Length? Price? Material?

Spend more than you want. You will be waiting for it for close to a year so get something worth the wait. I suggest a Titanium can for weight.

If this is your first, get something that works across platforms. Again, you're waiting for a year so you'll want to be able to put it on anything from a 22-250 to a .458 socom if your gun buying habits are like mine

YHM R2 30 cal. Quietest and most affordable. Only 16 oz. The 4oz of savings with titanium will cost you $500. On the end of a 10lb rifle I’d rather have N extra $500

I would suggest a Nomad Ti or Nomad 30, direct thread. Nomad
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Get one from a well established company so you don’t end up like people with a Crux and have no support for them.

Thank you for the direction, guess another question is what’s a good bolt action for something like the nomad, it doesn’t look like tikka makes a threaded barreled rifle so I’m up for some ideas

Tikka makes many threaded rifles.
CTR Believe Ruger makes several that are threaded. And then there's the option of buying the rifle you want, get it in your hands, then take it to a guy to thread it.

The Tikka Roughtec, Vail and PolyFade are all threaded 5/8x24. The CTRs are fantastic. I have one 223 and 308. They just shoot.

Thanks y’all, hopefully within the next few weeks I’ll land on a rifle decision first then look into the supressor options !

I would suggest a Nomad Ti or Nomad 30, direct thread. NomadX2 This is going to be my first can, watched Alabama Arsenal's video about it and that's what sold me on it. Very good cross platform usability from all the three rifle caliber's I own.

I liked mine so much, I bought another. I use it on my wifes 223 bolt, my 6.5cm bolt long range gun, my 300blk/223/6.5g ARs, my 308 bolt. Diverse, quick attach setup to literally twist off and twist on a different rifle and go. And the noise reduction is pretty awesome. Better than several high end options. my first one was under 650 with the stamp, second went up 100, but they are worth every penny.

Another YHM fan here. The Resonator/Resonator 2 is a great one.

Really big YHM fan here. I have shorter and lighter cans but the can most used is the YHM Phantom 30 SS it is a beast at almost 2 pounds but it’s my first and favorite can.
