My wife and I are in day 10 of our Covid experience. Doc tells us "we've got it on the run, drink fluids, take Robitussin if the cough is persistent", etc. What I'm hoping to learn is what the heck can be done about the fatigure? It's the WORST! We're sleeping about 16 hours a day, and just a trip to the bathroom is exhausting.

Can anyone who's experienced Covid offer any guidance on reducing the fatigue?

Thanks for any help.

J.R.

Had it and the exhaustion goes away with time. I had it back in December.
It was better within a month or so but I still have spells from time to time where it knocks me down.

My wife and parents just rested much like you are doing. Food, fluids, rest, vitamins (plus -l-lysine and zinc). Gotta make yourself eat as much as you don't want to. Anything else is up to you.

My symptoms lasted less than 24 hours - but the above (along with Ivermectin) protocol got my wife and parents up and going by day 5-6...first few days were rough for them.

Time and rest is about all you can do I believe.
Hell, I only felt bad about 4-5 days with the headaches being my worst symptom but 2 weeks later I went to pick up some bags of range cubes and they felt like they weighed 150 lbs/bag instead of 50.
I couldn't do a whole lot for about a month or so after feeling better.

Get used to it. I had it in December, and am barely back to 50%. Doc said that they don't know enough about it to predict how long it will take. Some folks don't have symptoms at all. It almost killed me.

Mine was about the same as others. I did lose my smell and taste for a few weeks.

My Girlfriend got it when I did. She had more difficulty and was hospitalized for a few days with Bilateral Pneumonia.

Z-Pack, Zinc, Vit D from the doctor

She still has times or fatigue, I'm back to my old grouchy self

We are seniors.

I was in hospital with Covid for 10 days last August. Today I still only have about 85% of my strength back and I sleep an extra hour a day than I did before.

Each person’s symptoms can vary significantly….my wife and I are in good health and 60 when we got it…..we took Tamiflu as soon as we knew we had some strain of flu….. we were up and about in a couple days but didn’t feel normal on the energy and mind processing side of things for about 2 weeks…..

On the ivermectin...what do we buy and what's a normal dosage, frequency, etc.?

Everyone’s journey is different. I am day 15. Cough is just about gone but fatigue is there. Not terrible but there. Wife and son are day 9. Wife never had any fever but is feeling the fatigue setting in.

I have been eating as healthy as possible in addition to the vitamins. Maybe that is helping.
Lots of fruits and veggies. The change in smell and taste has not been good for most meats and fatty foods.
Prepared meats all taste rancid to me. Fresh cooked meats have been ok.

And follow docs advice on fluids. Drink copious amounts of water.
No good comes from dehydration.

Had it back in early December. Fatigue was bad for a while until i started taking the same stuff i did when working out at the gym a few years ago.
For me, the more i set around, the worse i felt. So i started walking, mowing the lawn with a push mower, anything to get some exercise.
Here i am 9 months later, still no smell. Can walk/exercise about 70% of what i use to.

I have a prescription for Ivermectin 3mg tablets. Dr didn't offer it up, i mentioned it and she didn't give me much push back. Said to take 9 first day, skip a day and take 9 more.
CVS filled my script, never ask a thing about it.

I think there are resources online to get a script written by a Dr. for human tablets (Stromectol). I would go that route first. It's cheap.

Go the prescription doctor route so your dosage is right. CVS will fill it

I took the natural approach. Started immediately with colloidal silver, vitamin D, vitamin K, berberine, vitamin C, zinc and got rid of it in 9 days. The only two symptoms I had were temperatures up to 101 1/2 and the fatigue. After all the research that I have done I just called the Wuhan flu. I know everyone is different but I know no one who has had it that had any of the symptoms that the main stream media advertised.

I never got sick or had any of the other symptoms. I did sleep about 10 hours a day versus a normal five or six. The odd thing is on the third day I felt better so the fourth fifth and sixth day I went to work in the heat. I had to work slowly but I made it through the days. Had I not done that I probably would have kicked it in five days or six maybe but the day after the last of the three days I work I went right back to feeling the same way I did on the first day.

I got it because a person that we had just hired to help us out for a while had taken his father to the emergency room in Tyler and sat with him all day there. They both got it. Of course he was riding with me to work so that’s how I got it. Otherwise I would’ve likely never had it.

Only time will help and that is a big variable. I had the old skool Rona, not the new delta. The worst of the fatigue hung around for a week or so after the other symptoms got better. I was still more easily winded for another month or so after that.

Some folks take a lot longer. My cousin got the full blown lung thing (which I did not) and still has not recovered more than 75% since she got it a year and a half ago. There are "long haulers" like her out there, but it's pretty rare.

I had it in November and never took anything. Never was fatigued but had a bad headache for several days. I tested positive for about 30 days but was told that I wasn't contagious past 14 days. Nine months later and I still have no taste or smell.

Extremely wide variety of experiences from varying from no symptoms to death.

I had it 04/2020 pretty badly. Fluids and anti-pyretics. Did an early 5 day course of Azithromycin and Hydroxychloroquine (obviously before the Ivermectin info or I'd have taken that too). I had little congestion (3 days) but fever for 20 days. Extreme weakness with delirium. My strength and stamina has never fully returned to pre - illness levels. I'd guess 80% of what I was in early 2020. (I used to work 12 hour shifts at the local trauma center as an RN in an ICU with lots of responsibilities). I'm 67 now.

Push through it. Get up and move. I had it and the fatigue. I also have horse and cows and a regular job by which I am self employed... I couldn't let any of the lapse. Just got up... sucked it up and did what I could as much as I could. Did my office stuff from home.

After eating Payne's sausage I don't know if I can go back to the regular store bought stuff.

That sucks. I was about 45 days with no taste or smell. Then another 3 months with a few weird anomalies - cilantro tasted like absolute butt, skunks smelled fruity and good, and farts smelled fruity and good. Thank goodness the things that are supposed to stink - stink again - and that cilantro tastes like cilantro again because I eat a bunch of it.

I was in the hospital for a couple of weeks, pretty severe case. Only advice I have for fatigue is to stay hydrated and eat healthy - vitamins and zinc etc can't hurt in moderation. It's going to take time and rest.

I've been making a point of cooking fresh green stuff (sautéed zucchini, etc) t least once a day and eating a lot of fresh fruit
