Found a left handed B14R which it seems are not readily available. Really just wanted the steel barrel but got the CF version as it was the only one my dealer could find.
Put a Bushnell Match Pro of which I was not familiar with but it was recommended and I can say it’s a pretty nice scope for the price.
Here is the rig
Mounted the scope earlier this week and bore sighted bu no chance to shoot until late this afternoon.
Used Federal black ammo to sight in and shot a couple more just to see. Speed was 1410fps with the 36gr bullet.
Then shot a 5 shot with Norma Tac22 speed was 1115fps average and a 5 shot with SK standard with was 1080fps.
Shot a couple more groups with those two just for a larger sample size.
Target at 50 yards
I plugged in a Norma 40gr in my Applied Ballistic App put the data in and skipped 100 went to 200 on paper and got a decent 2.5 inch 3 shot group that was right due to wind .but elevation was money .
There was steel at 300/340/400 so I just worked on out.
My first shot at 300 hit but then 3 misses before figuring first shot was a wind let off luck shot.
From there 340 was easy as the steel was bigger a full size IPSC.
400 I used all my elevation and used the reticle to holdover 7 Mil and hit it both shots and quit while I was ahead.
Target there was 12 inch round plate and I held 3Mil wind so felt pretty lucky on that one too.
Had 6 more rounds left in the box of Tac22 so went back to 110 yards where there was a clean target someone had left. I could actually see each bullet in flight as it dropped into the target. I think the vertical was me as the bullseye was big and I was rushing to finish as the mosquitos were getting bad.
I dialed 100 because I forgot it’s 110 so that is part of why I am low but I was sighted slightly low at 50 also as the above target shows
