We have 2 hobie outback’s, picked up used for a great deal. Pedal kayaks are hands down easier to fish out of. Don’t but new, there are great deals out there if you are patient. Wear a vest and have fun

Are you worried about catching the crappie corona variant? Superduty please explain the mask This pic was pre Covid. It was to ease the sunburn on my face. Just like the long sleeve shirt.

I have a BlueSky Boatworks Angler. You're welcome to come try it out in Glen Rose I really like the looks of that boat. I think I’ve settled on my next kayak, but I’m still highly interested in that one. How well does it peddle compared to a conventional kayak, if you’re familiar with that?

I have a cheapo Pelican from Academy that i rigged up. Catching a fish out of a kayak seems way more fun. I still remember the first time a caught a big cat out of a kayak. He was basically dragging me around for a bit and when i finally got him close i damn near flipped the kayak getting him landed. Had to release him because if I strung him he would have started dragging me around again.

Since I sold my big boat I've been looking pretty hard at kayaks. I really like what I see with the Hobie yaks but man they're expensive if buying new. I love wade fishing, but some of my honey holes are knee deep mud if you wade them and my lower back can't handle all that twisting & pulling of my legs in the mud anymore. Was crippled for a week after the last time. So, one of these foot pedal kayaks will work perfectly for sneaking into some of these back lakes and coves where the redfish stack up. I'm gonna buy one, just a matter of when.

Small story when I bought my Kayak. I could not decide which color I wanted and the choices were purple, gray white and orange. So I decided to call and ask my wife for some advice. When I told her the colors she instantly said orange. I said ok and made the purchase. After I had it loaded and driving home I called her to tell her the color choice and I asked her why orange. She said "It is because it will be easier for the search and rescue team to locate your body."
we laughed......I kinda laughed, maybe cried a little....lol

It's a heavier kayak and sits higher so wind catches it more. It's a trade-off for me, I really like that I can stand and fish and not tip it over. I can stand on any side or pontoon and it won't tip over. My brother has the Hobie and it is much faster and very stable but I wouldn't stand in it. I have two regular kayaks and really get tired of sitting. Also the prop makes it much easier to reverse than the flippers. Easier to hold position IMO.
