In the business world I was always taught that if you're on time you're late.

We used to call it "Lombardi Time" If you weren't at least 15 minutes early you were Late!!

People who are always late, unorganized and don't plan.

Usually, just like yesterday, five minutes early. if fifteen early, drive around the block until five minutes early.

Me too - I pride myself on it. Being somewhere on time is like keeping your word.

My wife is the exact opposite. She seems to think being late is a virtue. It may be a "woman" thing. But what the hey, I married her anyway.

I believe most people (NORML excused) have excuses and in their minds, they don’t count as late. That said, most people do not admit to running late.

I work with a group of contractors that are always early, 30 minutes or more. If you are only 15 minutes early, they may already be gone. I suppose every group has their routine.
I have never been late to work. I had a flat once and called in to warn my boss. I still made it in early, with a few minutes to spare.

This reminds me of a guy that I love, but his tardiness hacks me off, my father-in-law.
Any time that we do a family get-to-gether he is late. I am talking about 45-60 minutes late, sometimes more.
It is so bad that we all have agreed to tell him a false starting time (usually an hour earlier than the actual time) so that we do not have to set around waiting for him. And he is still a little late.

I use distilled water in my humidor.

Always early was taught where I went to work at 19 years old. If you were late 4 times in a 12 month period it was a documented wright up. Be late 8 times in the same timeframe and you would be looking for a new job. My dad always taught us to be early incase we had car trouble, I had a blowout one time and had a radiator hose fail another time and still had time to be at work before clock in time. My sweet wife has her clock in her ride set 12 minutes fast, she says it keeps her from being late. Whatever works for her is fine by me.

Chronic tardiness is a statement that the person is more important than everyone else. It’s just plain rude. But very common.

Worked with a guy in 'Bama that was technically above me, but we'd bought a percentage of his business and kept him and his brother from declaring bankruptcy. He would always come into a meeting 10 minutes late, with a banana and some chocolate milk. That was hard to take. 'Member of the country club, don't you know. No one could stand him.

Agree. I'm always early because I plan ahead.

When I was on active duty we lived by the rule of being on time is being 10 min late. I have kept that mindset. I would rather wait 10 min for others than make anyone wait 10 min on me.

Five minutes early, to right on time. Never late. I've walked out of more meetings that don't start on time than I can recall. The guy that used to be my dentist kept me waiting 15 minutes, no word from anyone. I bailed. Walked out, never went back. There's plenty of dentists that want a patient with a great plan that pays on time for just about everything. Tell me what's going or the reason for the delay, I'll wait, come help if in need, no worries. Leave me waiting, I won't be there when you eventually drag your a-- in late.

8:00 AM means 7:45 I'm never late.

When I go to the Dr. I always tell the nurse " Don't leave me in the little room for 15min or more, I'll come looking for you".
