I have bad gnats in my bathroom. They don't bite, but are a huge nuisance.

I've used foggers and they will kill about 95% of them, but in a week they are back like crazy. I've tried sprays on the window and it never seemed to work.
How do I get rid of these things? They are only in the bathroom, not the whole house, I guess the wetness from taking showers attract them?

Water,Dish soap and Apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Equal parts i think.
Kills em dead. We had gnats real bad awhile back, usually got 10+ in a bowl.

Build a bug trap like in the video, add about an inch of a mix of dish soap awter and a small amout of vinegar. Or use TCM3 recipe.

They're living in your drain. Pour bleach down the drain. The gnat traps work very well too. Apple cider vinegar, a little bit of sugar and dish soap in a bowl kills them by the hundreds.

I had a small amount gathered around a drain several months ago, ran hot water for a couple minutes and haven’t seen them since. Maybe lucky, dunno.

If it were the kitchen I would suggest cleaning the underside of the disposal flapper. Not sure that's the correct name for it but I'm sure you follow me. Ours was horrendous and the gnats disappeared soon after cleaning the underside of it.

Those little foaming disposal pucks work good too. I run ice in mine a few times a week. It’ll break up all the funk and send it down the line. The ice melts off and runs with it.

If they’re truly gnats, they’re indicative of a residual moisture problem. They can only breed and flourish in moist soil. I’d check leaks around the tub drain if it’s a slab, or the plumbing under the house if it’s a pier and beam house. If they’re drain flies, it can be easily resolved with drain cleaning enzymes, such as Enzyme-D. If you want to shoot a picture to my PM, provided the picture is clear enough, I can identify it for you.

From everything I've read here, they are drain flies. I'll try a drain cleaner for sure with the homemade gnat traps.

Is there a live plant in the bathroom? Overwatering will create a perfect breading ground, especially it it has that dried moss looking stuff covering the soil

Check under the sink to see if there is a vent up above the p-trap. I have seems gnats getting though a vent flapper that was no sealing

We all need to practice Whoa more.

If they are drain flies, cleaners and bleach won’t remove the organic slime in which they breed. That’s why I recommend the enzymes. The cleaners may kill the hatched adults and give the impression of control, but they’ll just keep coming. Reaming the pipes to below the water line is also a viable alternative. We get our enzymes from a pool supply company for $7 a bottle, it’s very cheap.
