I ain't that old - and I do not remember taking a driving proficiency test. All I remember taking was a vision test and a test on a computer.

First time drivers if you didn't take drivers ed had to take a driving test.

This visit is only for her permit. Since we're doing "parent taught" she had to do 6 hours of online classes. I now have to take her to take her written test to receive her permit so we can let her drive.

As far as her first car...she wants my 2005 GTO but she's gonna learn to drive in my wife's 2017 F150 unless I can find a beater to teach her in. Her older sister wrecked the other beater.

I'd stick with the truck, Heard there's a tire shortage and that GTO will need them often.

Weatherford is a nightmare. We live here. The wait list is months to get in.
Try Mineral Wells or Tolar.
We were in Tolar less than 30 minutes.
The parallel parking portion was completed at a church parking lot that didn’t even have a concrete curb.
The guy told my daughter to get as close as she could and that was good enough for him.

I got a new license at Weatherford a couple weeks ago. Showed up with no appointment. I didn’t wait nearly as long as I expected to. It wasn’t bad, at all. I may have been lucky, though.

Stephenville was really efficient when i took my daughter to get hers. Got my sons permit in mineral wells last week and it went well too.

come to Graham, easy trip and easy people to deal with unless the state has sent over a substitute.

My dad talks about him failing his driver's test because he had never seen a one way street and turned onto one during the test.

He was born in 1939 and took his test at 14 or 15, so 1953 or 1954 (hardship license).

I took driver's ed in the early 90's, and the driving portion was required and they would fail you. No computers then.
