Not any I can think of that really annoy me, but when you ask someone something and they start their reply with "So", I do hate that and I hear it everywhere.

“Circle back” and “physicality”. One means you’re stalling and the other isn’t a real word.

He was saying that it is a word, because it is.

I stand corrected...it is apparently a word. A nonstandard word. A silly word. A bad word. A word without value or reason to exist. Of course, they've also acknowledged 'conversate' as a valid word...so I am fairly certain the people at Merriam-Webster have lost their collective minds.

100% agree. Bastardizing the English language. Misuse or use a word that isn’t real long enough and they’ll acknowledge it. They probably just don’t want to “offend anyone”.

"Very" - just a few examples:

"It happened on the very first play of the game." Was that BEFORE the first play of the game?

"It's the very last door on your left." As opposed to the last door on your left.

"I was the very first person in line." That is in front of the first person in line obviously.

IT HAS A PLACE, BUT GETS USED way TOO OFTEN.

The misuse of the word "literally".

When someone on this forum posts something and another poster quotes them in agreeance with "THIS".

Words/phrases that make me cringe: like, foodie, furbaby, hubby/hubster/wifey/bae, ratchet, no cap, Yaaaaasss, "So, I did a thing", "It is what it is", "It's all part of God's plan. Everything happens for a reason."

My "baby's mama".
My "baby's daddy".

Usually meaning the parent of an offspring that someone had with someone other than their spouse.
