Does anyone have any clue as how to stop receiving text messages from random email addresses? My wife kept one of her cell numbers from Gulf Breeze Florida and she started receiving extremely nasty text messages from email addresses about 2-3 months ago that simply won’t stop on this phone. Now it’s almost like they have hacked that phone and got her contact info and my phone along with our daughters phone and both of our parents have started receiving them and I’d guess everyone in those contacts. We can block the email addresses but they simply come from a different one hours later and they come all hours of the day and night.

It’s gotten pretty frustrating and before anyone suggests she was looking up porn I gave her a really hard time myself but I know full well she wouldn’t have done this. Is their any way to block texts from email addresses on an I Phone? Shes gotten really pissed off and I’d really like to figure out how to make these things stop. Anyone have any ideas to resolve this issue?

We’ve blocked the email addresses but they just use a different one the next time leading me to wonder if you can block all emails from texting your phone?

Start replying with richard pics...just get some randoms off the interweb and use those every time they send you something.

Probably going to take a call/trip to the ATT/Verizon/whoever to figure something out.

If you do what TCM3 recommends any friend they have with the inferior android phone will also be blocked...the only thing that would come through would be blue (imessages) ones.

I can block phrases and/or messages on my phone in the settings to block any incoming messages with those phrases or address. I get them once a week on Saturday or Sunday night it seems. The messages are sent via a group text from a random email address.

I tried blocking them but they start over again.
Now I just delete them.
It’s very bad on wknds not much through the week.
These people need to be caught and stopped.

So we’re not the only ones, at least I don’t feel so bad knowing a few of you guys are experiencing it as well

I also block a phrase or catch word they are using in the email, so it blocks many I never get. I also have my phone set to only prompt me if I get a text or phone call from anyone in my contacts. Anyone else, I have to check my phone to know that they contacted me. If I do not know the number I either block them, block a word/phrase or just delete like you do.

I cant help on the blocking part but I get these too. Most of my friends have said they receive them also. Annoying for sure.

I get them on occasion too. I just tell them to FO!

I don't get them but my wife does. It has gotten real bad the last couple of months. I would like to find a solution also.

I feel left out. I never get stuff like that. Guess I’m too boring.
