As the title says. DFW area. Need to ship a lever gun. I have it packed in original Henry box but would like to pack it in a box a little bigger for more protection. 817-713-3672

Pretty much all gun shop have a supply of them. Every time I’ve asked they were FOC. I believe the shippers prefer or may even require that boxes not reveal there is a firearm inside.

Go to a pack and mail place. They have boxes, crates etc. for just about any and every thing. Or if weight is not an issue, 1x4 outside frame, covered with 1/4 play on top and bottom. Stuff foam around the inside to keep inside box from shifting. Use screws so that it can be taken apart without busting it up.

Exactly right….I’m looking for an unlabeled box to put original box inside of to hide the fact that it is a firearm.

You might want to try a florist. Long stem roses come in a box which is long enough and big enough to enclose a regular rifle box. Plus its marked all over the outside that it contains roses! Makes great camouflage for its travel. You might have to shorten the length but with a sharp razor and good tape that is not hard to do. It is NOT a retail box for roses, but the what the supplier ships roses in.
Yes, I have used them before with success!
Good Luck!

Not sure if they still come in box but the cheap hard sided gun cases from academy came in a cardboard box. They were like 15 bucks. We would put our guns in the case, cut the box and turn it inside out side out and tape it over the cheap hard sided gun case. I shipped more than one rifle like that to Dennis Olsen, gunsmith I used to use.
It looked like a cardboard box but hard case on the inside. You can use it over and over if have I g a gun shipped back after work being done.
Thanks, Billy

Unless it is a collector type firearm, I usually don't keep boxes. Go to the local Cabelas, Bass Pro, or Sportsman's and buy a $20 Plano plastic gun case, and get the box they come in too. Ship as a complete package.

Go to Uhaul and buy a furniture blanket, stop by UPS store and grab a 6x6" box in whatever length you want, roll up rifle like a burrito, slide inside box, tape the ever loving hell out of it and ship whatever way makes you feel comfortable.
