That is a really good pic and glad you got one. I had something similar at a feeder in front of my house. Only the bobcat had just caught and was walking off with a whistling tree duck. Very late and I had not put a trail cam on the feeder yet since it was in early June.

This wasn't his first kill at this feeder either. I got a blurry shot of him nabbing a cardinal a couple of days earlier...

We have a lot of bobcats on our property. They LOVE to hunt the feeders for Dove, Squirrel, Rabbits, Cardinals and sometimes at night flying squirrels. They KNOW where the groceries are. In my case the feeders are located in heavily wooded areas....so the perfect ambush spot for the cats. Success rate is pretty good.

Here's that previous pic of him grabbing what I assume is a cardinal...

Great pics!!
I love to watch bobcats but they can become a major PITA.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

My favorite places to call cats are around feeders. Naturally high populations of rodents and birds will keep cats in the area. Adios, Gary

Does he eat coons ? I'll buy him ! If only! If he did that, I'd trap him and clone him!
