How can hunting with a rifle on a couple acres in a sub division across the street from a golf course be legal?

If I figured it right......a bullet traveling 2900 feet per second is going to clear that property line and be illegal in about 2/10ths of a second. A ricochet or pass through might increase that to what....maybe 6/10ths. IMHO a property that small should be bow or shotgun only.....assuming that county doesn't have restriction on properties under 10 acres.

The set we hunted we were shooting down hill towards the bottom of a drainage ditch. We were shocked to see there was house about 400 yards up the other side behind the ditch. We didn't know it was there till the next morning. If we would have shot at something on top of the hill we could have easily hit the house.

Metalmangeorge, Did you know that you would be hunting on 2 acres of land before you got there? I've read his posts and he never admits to the size of the property, he just says that the deer don't care how many acres it is. How many where in your group? To me, the worse part of his so called hunts is that he gets groups of hunters to hunt that spot who all pay $350, but on the odd chance that an animal is shot, the rest will never have a chance after that. Carlos makes $1,400 for the night with a group of four who might get one doe. He doesn't even own the two acres, it's his girlfriends place. All he does is fill the feeder with some corn.
There are plenty of outfitters that charge $350 for a doe and if a group of four when, everyone should have opportunities to get one.

No he never told us the acres, only that it was a small place. The stand we sat in was only about 50 feet off a two lane hwy. He only charged us the 350 and there where two of us. He meet us at the blind around 9pm and he dumped about 5 pounds of corn about 20 yards in front of the blind. We did have a buck run across the front of the blind so close we could have touched it, but it was running and never slowed down. The shooting lane was only about 15 yards wide. I did notice in alot of his posts any pictures of bucks are ones his son shot. And he likes to say something like "look what this guy got for $350".
I would much rather pay $400+ and hunt during the day on a larger place.

Yep, its a "Buyer Beware" world out there "you get what you pay for" "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys" any other clichés? I got screwed on 2 hunts, should have learned after the first, buddy set up the second. There is just Chit out there, its up to us to do our due diligence before we put up our hard earned money. Now, unless we got a good law suit going or someone is setting up an "Octagon" CAN WE LET THIS THREAD DIE AWAY???

There should be a follow up with the game warden e could be charged with a lot of violations if gw Indus it legitimate operation none can b mad but i Lunda like a lot of violations plus he has to have a lease license to start with.and for sister creek u don’t have a leg to stand on as of right now the dates on the pics that u personally posted r 2015 so the court won’t even sniff those.and if he does take it to court he will probably b in worse trouble so let him do that . I am a guide and when we run into something like this we call the game warden and tell them we have a outing that we want them to attend and then they see first hand wether its the customer or service that is suppose to b provided

I am amazed that the Sheriffs Department has not shut this hunting operation down, it is illegal to discharge a firearm on less than 10 acre's unless defending one's personal property or life! That is actually not quite true. A county commissioners court CAN pass an ordinance to stop hunting in a subdivision with lots under 10ac. On a couple of acres not part of a subdivided plot you would still be legal.

This guy strikes again and again. He keeps the price low enough so that once you realize you've been screwed, the amount lost isn't enough to go to court over. He's a professional con artist. If a dozen of yall got together, you might have enough of a case to get him stopped, but the luck is minimal at best. No real crime committed, just a solid screw with no lube.
What a shame.

I obviously don't know what you call a lot of deer, but I live within 50 miles of Dallas and i am low fence. I am not an outfitter though.

I have yet to meet a VET that suffered wounds that would even say anything about their problems. Carlos is a pc of chit This has been my experience as well. A hobby of mine is trying to document veteran's stories, and for me, the ones who saw action don't talk, and the ones who talk didn't see action. He may have been sleeping something off alright, but chances are it wasn't what he made it out to be.
