Holy cow these things work. My mom ordered 4 off Amazon.. Put 2 out in the area of the house and wood line. Haven't needed mosquito spray in a month. Mostly mosquitos, and few other bugs in em. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/07/full-65851-301046-20210707_102013.jpg)

I need something for the back patio area. Here's their FAQ, things that caught my eye... Need to hang 80ft away from people and you need to replace every 30 days. https://spartanmosquito.com/pages/frequently-asked-questionsCharlie

Did not work for me. Killed bugs but mostly ants. I saw no difference in mosquitoes. There is a class action lawsuit filed against Spartan that you can find with a quick search. I have no dog in the hunt. Glad it worked for some but was a waste of money for me.

Im not one for poisons , but I have not needed any deet around the house either since I sprayed that talstar P stuff. I would walk into the garden and have 10 mosquitoes on my legs within 5 minutes, typical this time of year. I think some here recommended it . I didnt spray the garden but the surrounding tree line and bushes. Its been weeks with out a mosquito bite. Just another option in the war. I will lookin into those you have as well. Skip to 1:20

Mine failed last two years. I gave up on them and just spray heavy dosage of Bifen

I believe it is largely dependent on the species of mosquito you have around your home. They did not work for me and i am also in Montgomery County, Republic of Texas. We have those dang invasive tiger skeeters and they're tough little sh1ts.
Anyway, these things are just water, sugar, yeast, and (i think) salt. Water, sugar, yeast = fermentation = CO2. Skeeters use CO2 to track their prey. This is how they attract skeeters. The salt then kills them. you can make them yourself for probably $0.50 a pop.

Professionally, we use the In2Care mosquito system. It’s the best non-chemical setup I’ve seen for mosquitoes. Both our commercial and residential customers love them.

The salt then kills them. you can make them yourself for probably $0.50 a pop. Boric acid is what they told folks under their Facebook ad. I bought a couple recently and hung them. You have to keep an eye on the water level during the 30 day period. I had not heard of them until our lease owner told me that he put some up around his house and they were very effective.

After reading about Talstar P here and then doing a bunch of research, I pulled the trigger on it. I already have a sprayer or two. I got the 3/4 gallon size for under $60. Two ounces is plenty to treat my back yard so the bang for the buck is good.
After spraying this stuff late last week, I've only seen one mosquito. While I was spraying there were mosquitos and flies bailing out of the shrubs. I have two Spartan deals back there and used to get eaten alive. I have nothing against Spartan, but in my case it didn't work nearly as good as Talstar P.
Your mileage may vary, but this stuff has been incredible for us... and I've tried all kinds of things.

Mine failed last two years. I gave up on them and just spray heavy dosage of Bifen I've got a couple of them placed at either end of my property since March. After the heavy late spring rains, the water levels are near the top. I check them regularly and they don't have many mosquitos in them at all. I also have a Dynatrap right next to one of them and that is much more effective. I can actually see a dead pile of mosquitoes (and tons of moths) in there every night.

I second the dynatrap. Effective to one acre.
