I bought a beautiful Remington Wingmaster 28 a few years ago...it came with a modified cut down stock perfect for younger kids. I'd like to get a full size stock though so I can shoot it comfortably. Are the full size stocks from say the wingmaster 20ga the same/interchangable with the 28? or even a 12 interchangable with it? Thank you! Thomas

Based on what I've read all over the internet, yes it should. I'm sure your wanting to go with wood, but if you decide to go synthetic, I've got a set I'd sell you cheaper than anything you'll find online.

No, a 12 gauge stock will not fit on a 28 gauge 870 receiver. I have a 28 and a 20 870, I can go put the dial calipers on them and tell if you if they are the same. Just let me know if you're really interested. Regardless if they are the same, they are both equally difficult to find.

Sounds like they are interchangable with the 20 so we'll start the search

From memory. Early on the 12, 16, and 20 were all built on the same frame. Some time I think around the late 60’s or early 70’s Remington introduced the 28 and 410 on a smaller frame. A few years later they brought out the LW 20 on the same frame which was eventually discontinued and the regular 20 ga 870 was moved to the smaller frame. A little research should tell you what year 20 ga stocks will fit the 28.

eBay is where I got mine. Sheesh, first off no 20s listed, and the good ones are asking $250+! Wow, I've been investing in the wrong things lol.
