My wife's uncle own Jack Jordan's BBQ. I cannot say if it is good or not, I have never eaten there myself. But it has been in business a long time.

I stick to Midland. I know some good joints, there, if you end up on the better side of that mess.

Midland resident here, but occasionally, I jump the fence and go to Odessa. Fabela’s is really good breakfast. You can hurt yourself there on the cardiac breakfast burrito. Cork and Pig is where to go for above average American fare and $12 cocktails (scenery can be real good there). The Barn Door is good, as said above.

I will be watching this one. I stayed in Odessa last night, and probably 3 or 4 other nights this year. We finally settled on the restaurant in the hotel, Hilton Garden Inn. It was bar food and it was actually okay. I hope to find a go-to place there, if there is one.

Long time ago I worked at the power plant in Odessa, and my favorite place to eat was a little place called BJ's Drive In. They sold huge delicious burgers that would feed 4 people. Not sure if they're still in business or not.

Pollos Asados Rio Grande on South Grant. Excellent grilled chicken, beans, rice, tortillas, pickled onions, hot sauce. It is mostly a drive thru and pick up place. The papa asada is excellent also, big baked potato loaded with meat, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce on the side.
Mi Casa on West County road for good Mexican food.
Mamasitas on Maple for good Mexican food. Ask for the green sauce also, when they bring your tortilla chips and chicharons.
Bj drive In on Golder still has huge and delicious burgers.
Sid and Sam’s on West University is good for casual dining. Good food and good salad bar.
Rosas is fast and handy for decent fast food Mexican food.
The BBQ Restaurant in HEB on West University is pretty good.
Big Daddy’s on 42nd is good. They bring you good jalapeño hush puppies and tarter sauce before your meal.Good fish, shrimp, bbq ribs good sides.

It was a great time, and something I should have done sooner. Met a beautiful red head in a green Corvette. Lord have mercy, that was a good night. One for the books.
