I was considering ordering a couple of Maverick blinds. I saw the Krivoman blinds and they appear to be much better made. I'm in San Antonio so my options are either pay for shipping or driving several hours for blinds. Anyone have experience with either blind?

No direct experience with either but on the Maverick make sure you know whats included and whats not. It may be a little confusing if the prices include floor, base, tower etc. Also on the Maverick I think the horizontal rifle type windows are real real short as you measure from floor to bottom of window.

Go with the Krivoman! I have several. Much better than maverick IMO.

Interested in this thread as I am considering a poly blind as well, particularly the Krivoman. The blinds are very popular with bowhunters and you might pose your question on Texas Bowhunter and get more feedback. I particularly like the attractive price of the “ready to go” blind, the durability of the poly, and the weight of the blind. I am pretty much on my own on my new place and can’t load/unload/setup a 4 or 5x6 300+Lb fiberglass blind by myself, but I am pretty sure I could do it with a 150lb poly blind.

From my research, the negatives of a round poly blind are leaks (particularly around the windows) ventilation (hot in the early part of season) “drum” sound when you accidentally hit the inside of your blind while hunting (due to the round shape and poly material). Krivoman recently came out with an updated design to address some of those issues so they may not even be relevant issues.

After a through internet search I called Mitch at Krivoman. His blinds have real glass hinged windows and the door appears to be very stout. Maverick blinds are two piece and weigh 100lbs, poly windows. Krivoman blinds are one piece and weigh 150 lbs. Mitch said his blinds are solid enough you can roll them around on their sides. I purchased two at $1,100.00 apiece. At that price point its a deal. I pick them up in a few weeks outside of Austin.

You will be VERY happy with them. Mitch is a great guy & makes a great blind.

I could be wrong, but my understanding Mitch's blinds were copied by another builder. He redesigned his blind and now builds them at his facility. This information was given to me straight from Mitch. I have no idea what the old blind design looks like. The new blind is on his web site, krivoman blinds.

Do they not have a floor? The pictures on the website look like they don't, except on the tower of course.

Floor can be purchased from krivoman. Mitch said a lot of people use horse stall mats.

Another option that comes with or without a plastic floor. With or without windows also and have dealers in Texas.

My buddy on my deer lease bought this one. It has a floor to keep the snakes out and real quality doors and windows.

Sorry but they are made of the exact same material And the 2-piece design of Maverick makes it much easy to transport an move and Maverick's come with 9 windows so there is ZERO blind spots. Also you can get a Maverick with tinted or clear plexiglass windows for all the window openings and it's $250 cheaper. Krivoman gets the blind made up in MN at a roto company about 1/2 hour away from me so I know the blind very well.

Sorry but He actually used a mold for years that he didn't own and had them built by a MN company that owned the mold and just sold him blinds that they were already producing and selling.
