I know some of you think it is cheating, but I need to buy a temperature controller for my Big Green Egg.

I grill 2 times a week with and steaks taste great.

I only smoke about 4 or 5 times a year because I do not have time to watch the grill in order to get good results.

Anyone have experience with any of them?

Flame Boss is pretty expensive.

BGE's stuff (other than the grills) does not hold up well.

Digi-Q...I've had one ever since I bought the egg....over 10 years...and it's been an awesome piece of equipment for the low and slows. I do a lot at nite and sleep through soundly knowing it's taking care of my meat wink

I run this one but only use it when I cook all night for peace of mind or if I'm not going to be home during the cook so I can check in every once in a while.

BGE will hold steady w/o much checking. Once you get the temp dialed in, they'll hold for several hours with no checking.
