With the new Constitutional Carry Law now in place. Do you think police officers will ask if you are carrying when they stop you?

Or, just put your hands on the wheel with info and do what they tell you?

Always have hands on wheel when an officer approaches, at night turn on interior light, turn off car and roll down rear window. No sudden movements.

About having documents in hand, do not be rifling around your vehicle as the officer pulls you over or while he approaches. Wait for direction.

Always always have hands on the wheel. Always, always tell them about loaded firearms in the vehicle. Always always.

So, I guess you don't have to show your LTC Permit anymore ??

Where did it say that? As far as I'm concerned it changed nothing in respect to the LTC, I'll treat a stop as I always have and hand them both DL and LTC. I'm also going to tell them where every gun in the vehicle is. I go out of state too many times and being complacent here can get you in trouble there.

Is this new law already in effect?

Why? I’m handing them my LTC and if they want to ask a question I’ll answer them. I’m not going to volunteer that I do or don’t have guns in the car otherwise. What is the point?

Yep. And I've never kept my hands on the wheel and no one cared the least bit. Just relax and go with the program.

You haven't had to present your LTC ever since they changed it from CHL to LTC basically when open carry went into effect. I still show mine, no real sense not to. I'm sure it puts the officer at ease when they see it. I'm pretty sure my LTC has gotten me out a few tickets over the years.

Y'all act like getting pulled over is an everyday occurrence. I guess it is If I didn't have all this privilege.

I've got my DL and LTC taped together with Scotch tape, so if I pull out the DL the LTC automatically comes along with it. I've also gotten a couple of sideways looks from the TSA when going through airport security because of it, but oh well...

I've been pulled over 3 different times since I have had a LTC. I have always given the officer my drivers license as well as my LTC when they have approached my vehicle. The very next question i get asked on all three stops is "do you have a weapon in the vehicle" to which my answer has been "yes, one in the console, in the back, etc, etc" and they always instruct me not to reach for it. Then I have followed instructions as for insurance and answered their questions about speed, or light being out, etc, etc...

All three stops resulted in a warning.

Obviously, when you get pulled over, you've broken the law in some form or fashion, knowingly or not. It's smart to play by the rules at this point.

With all these freedoms I heard buzz is shopping for real estate in California. No guns more mask. Sounds safer to him.

Lol. I’m just guessing it is generally obvious I’m carrying some sort of firearm so why ask. The fact I’m volunteering my LTC should be making that clear. Never been asked if I’m carrying for what it’s worth.

Concealed Carry...never have been approached or asked if I'm carrying. All the more reason to "carry concealed". Don't be "that guy" that needs attention.
