I don’t carry. But, when I leave town I take a Taurus Judge in my vehicle.

Ruger LCP II, .22 LR. You hardly know it's in your pocket or in a IWB holster. Eleven fast shots into three inches at five yards. Way better than a sharp stick.

9 mm. Switched from .357 mag to gain capacity.

Carry caliber is an interesting discussion. However, for me the more pertinent question is "when do you carry and/or how often do you carry?". At one time I would stick a .45 ACP auto or five-shot "serious caliber" wheelgun on my belt for certain circumstances depending on what I was doing and/or where I was going. But carrying those had drawbacks that had me not carrying most of the time. Then I got into the habit of sticking my little Ruger LCP II .22 in a pocket or in a IWB holster and carrying it all day, every day, everywhere I went. It turned out to be a "reasonably armed" all of the time thing vs. a "well armed" some of the time thing. I've settled on reasonably armed all of the time. When I'm mowing my lawn, that gun is in my pocket. When I'm filling my truck's gas tank at a station, that gun is either in my pocket or in a IWB holster. That was never the case with larger guns.
.

Bayou,
Have you looked at the Federal Punch 22 ammo made for short barrel hand guns?
Saw an interesting video about it a week or so ago.

Good video TKM. I haven't seen that ammo available in my are. Right now my carry ammo in my Ruger LCP II is Aguila 40 grain Super Extras. Last Saturday I shot 150 rounds into 10 yard targets and had ZERO fails to fire and ZERO fail to feeds. That's hard to beat.

Main carry is a Shadow Systems MR918 in 9mm. Mostly because it can use the same mags as my duty gun. Have a S&W 642 in 38 spcl that does pocket duty some days.
