Can I direct ship a handgun to a buyers FFL within Texas? I thought handguns had to go FFL to FFL.

You can ship to buyers FFL, no problem. You cannot ship a handgun via USPS since you are not an FFL or manufacturer.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

You can, but you have to confirm that the FFL will accept shipments from an individual. Some don't. It's perfectly legal, just personal preference for some.

Also be aware that you will need to ship it through a UPS Customer Center (not a UPS Store franchise), so FedEx might be the best option depending on where you're located. They may also request to see a copy of the receiving FFL's license.

If you have a friendly FFL holder on your end, then it may be easier and/or cheaper to pay them to send it through the US mail than for you to ship it FedEx or UPS.

They may also request to see a copy of the receiving FFL's license. Good point. It's amazing how many people think a UPS store and UPS hub are the same. They are definitely not. The UPS stores have their own rules and policies outside of UPS.

The UPS stores have their own rules and policies outside of UPS. ...because they are franchises of sorts.
Pass the gravy.

Person to person is fine. The issue is, you have to declare it as a firearm, and UPS/fedex/etc will usually only do it overnight or two day or whatever.... which gets expensive.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
