You were so hyped and absolutely disappointed.

For me it was ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Probably around Y2K at Reunion Arena. I don't remember who opened for who. While they both played well, it was just like listening to the radio, so kind of boring for a concert. And I seem to recall neither played very many songs.

Jimmy Buffet blows, saw him at Reunion arena around 92.

Texas Stadium with Guns & Roses/Metallica/Faith No More

Guns & Roses was worst, lead singer was so jacked up on drugs he did a song and left the stage about 3 times during a song, would take 20 minutes to come back, this happened about 6 times.

Metallica was next they saved the concert, I have disliked Axle dude and his music ever since

Same for me - I was at that concert and remember them getting booed for that Mr. Roboto crap. They still owe me a good concert.

Steve nicks and Joe Walsh - Nicks got mad during the first song as the fans were pressing up on stage, so she left. Joe Walsh came out and started saying, “settle down, do it for Stevie” he must’ve said “do it for Stevie” 50 times. She finally came back out, did a couple of songs and then left for good.

Also saw Kenny Rogers back in the day. Half of the concert was watching large screens of his movie scenes.very irritating and disappointing.

Do you remember Rik Emmett, ted Nugent and Sammy Hagar covering rock and roll? Awesome!

I sure do! I was sitting on the front row of the second level on the right side and just in front of the stage, so we saw Ted Nugent running from behind the stage and up the ramp behind Sammy's drummer before he jumped over him.

Stones at TCCC in about 72.
I've heard better garage bands.

Texas Jam 84 in Houston. Bryan Adams, Ozzy, 38 Special and Rush. Bryan Adams went on early in the afternoon and was a lost cause. Maybe 10% of the dome was filled and no one was paying any attention to him. Wait for an hour or so and then Ozzy went on. I remember him standing in one spot on the stage, hanging on his mic stand to keep from falling down and then he only played for about 30 minutes. Wait another hour or so for the surprise guest 38 Special. I swear they must have played a 2 hour set that seemed to go on forever. Now it’s early evening and I think we waited almost 2 hours for it to get dark enough for the light show and then Rush finally went on stage (mid summer so it didn’t get dark until really late). I guess the dome had a strict end time, because Rush played a couple of songs and then went into like a 10 song medley and finished their concert in about 1.5 hours. Since the only band I wanted to see was Rush, a stripped down 1.5 hour show after waiting 8 or 9 hours was really disappointing.

Thanks,
Rich

Willie a few times, George Jones a few times. I’ve seen them both put on damn good shows and plain old crap shows too

Saw Oleander, 3 Doors Down and Fuel at Corpus Christi's Concrete Street in April 2001. Oleander and 3DD were solid, Fuel's singer not so much. May have been after his nasal septum got deviated in a strange accident on stage; he caught the lead guitar's guitar in the nose on stage. Either way he was mediocre at best live.

Guns and Roses at Texas Stadium. They played half of their time, got mad and walked off the stage. The headliner was INXS and Axle saw too many INXS tshirts in the crowd and got pissed.

One of the most fun shows I ever went to despite the band and their playing. Maybe the one I went to was somehow unique. <shrugs>
