My grandson and I will be spending the night in Topeka June 7th. Looking for recommendations as where to stay. We will be coming from Kansas City and will be headed South from Topeka the next morning.

We've stayed at the Country Inn & Suites a few times. Last time we were there it was a nice and clean place.

Thanks, looks like Topeka is not a very popular destination.

Yep. Pheasant but no quail. Pheasant don't hold well for the dogs.

We were just up there yesterday helping the in-laws downsize/move.

I'd stay around 470/Wanamaker Rd.--plenty of hotel options and dining options as well. From there, you can be back on the turnpike in less than 10 minutes.

I understood the question with your first reply.

We had a reunion there in 1998, after the first day it was quickly decided that Wichita was not to be selected again. It was an okay location for us guys, but the wives and kids found there was nothing to do for the 3 days the men spent visiting.
