I have both a Browning Citori and a BSS, I just shoot the Citori better. Both great guns.

#5 was probably a French Darne action.

I've used sxs's. Have a 12 and a 16. I like the16 but off hand I think I do a little better with a single barrel, even though you are supposed to be pointing the gun. Another plus of a single barrel is one less barrel to clean at the end of the day. When I was a kid I had an H&R Topper single shot that I could reload very fast.

I shot flyers - box and hand thrown with Brister - always O/u for both sports. He shot a 20 ga Beretta SO-5. Don't recall seeing him shoot a SxS, although the SxS was pretty popular for Box Flyers in Europe.

My Benelli 828U has not yet seen the light of day. The Beretta SXS on the other hand, has had a go at at clay pigeons, turkey, quail and dove.

I'll shoot either O/U or SS....but find myself reaching for my Superposed or Charles Daly O/U's more often than any others. They just fit me so well.
