They won't have to! Pfizer has applied for full approval, Moderna is preparing their application, if the FDA uses the expedited approval process, both will be fully approved by fall.

Yes, a major employer in our area, about 8k employees announced today starting June 1st, you could get a special badge if you showed your Vaccination Card... and not wear a mask... everyone else still wears a mask... there's got to be lawyers out there begging for the HIPPA, Religious Freedom, 14th Amendment cases to follow across the nation

I heard about this on the radio. I think a likely outcome will be the company saying screw it when they’re pushed and making everybody wear masks. How do you think the “vaxxers” will look at the “non-vaxxers” then? Talk about a hostile work environment. Just another example of this whole mess dividing people and pitting them against each other.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. It won’t surprise me if the Supreme Court decides not to hear it. In the 60’s when I was in school, nurses came to all the schools and everyone was vaccinated. Employees and students. Up to date vaccination records were a requirement for admission. Precedent may have been set long ago. Time will tell.

They will hear it. It’s a civil liberties case with all kinds of fun discrimination tossed in. You will see multiple different challenges presenting different angles such as religious, American with disabilities, etc.

Court won’t have a choice. A state school is a perfect target. If you look at all state public grade school vaccination requirements, the exemption lists/reason are wide open.. they almost all allow a conscience exception.

I wont hold my breath as they would not even touch something as serious as a voter fraud accusations. Even if they do , I wonder how the "state of emergency" we are in will affect the courts.

Something tells me that schools will just take their existing vaccination policy and add the COVID vaccination to the list. I'm sure those policies all have various exception clauses and this will be no different since it's just another shot in the list. Just like when Perry mandated the HPV vaccine and other schools started requiring the meningitis vaccine.

No not hardly and no offense taken. My wife is a second grade teacher here in rural Texas. In her district at least, they don’t seem too heated up about it. Vaccine was made available for the teachers that wanted it. She and I have not taken it and the kids are not being pressured to take it either. The decision is being left up to each family. I think like most covid issues, it will boil down to a state by state decision and the Supreme Court will stay out of it. Time will tell. Thank god we live in Texas. Of great concern to me is the recent number of out of state plates from the north east, west coast, and the rust belt states that are coming to Texas and the way our state and Governor is reacting to covid. We don’t need their politics in Texas. What I see here is Abbot following the guidelines that Trump laid out and Texans moving forward. I am encouraged by that and don’t particularly want the Supreme Court to mess with what is happening in our local school. We are handling it just fine on a local level. As to the University of Virginia policies: no one is forced to attend or work there and it is none of my business what those yahoos do.
