First trip is probably over to Mississippi to visit family, then visit a few state parks, then over to Eldorado Arkansas to visit some of the wife’s family. But, right now the wife is decorating and coordinating her little heart out, and we are off to Waco tomorrow to shop for stuff for the trailer. I have no idea what we’ll be shopping for, but my function is only to drive, not think.
There were a lot of these Sprinter Vans dragging RZRs all over Utah and Northern Arizona.
The hot water heater is some sort of hybrid on-demand thing. More on that later, when I know more.

Wife won’t use the stovetop in the travel trailer. Very doubtful she’ll use the one in the RV, but we’ll see. Hard to imagine that she could completely avoid using the stovetop. The microwave will get serious work, for sure. And she’ll probably mostly cook outside on the Blackstone, like she does now.
This whole thing is a work in progress right now. What’ll we take, where does it go, and such as that. Glens has (or had) a giant Greyhound bus sized RV with room for everything. We are setting up to travel in a big van, so space is limited. I have to find space for at least one fishing pole, while she’s worrying about towels and underwear and such. Our personal priorities differ. What a shock....

Sounds like you might have a tankless water heater. They are getting quite popular in smaller rv's to save space.

Dont know how I missed this. Congrats! You will love it, i am sure. As for bacon, cook up 4# and put it in the freezer in ziplocks. No smell. A good frying pan, small boiler, panini press, and a 2-slice toaster will do 80% of the meal. Buying goodies, the sky is the limit!!
Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!

Thanks, Superduty. It’s printing off right now. And I read it carefully. Great info. We’ll take the list with us today.

Always a good idea to make the first outing somewhere close to home. You can do a shakedown of all the functions to make sure everything is squared away before traveling a few hundred miles away and finding an issue missed on the PDI.

We are experienced campers, so I recognize the wisdom of a short trip for a trial run. So...the first camping will be done here at the ranch on the ‘guest’ 30 amp site that we had set up for the SiL’s RV.
This isn’t basic like the TT we have. It’s more like the space shuttle. The dashboard control panel runs the front of the RV and the back control panel runs the camper area. I can’t overstate how many control functions there are. Just on the steering wheel must be 20 buttons and 2 ‘mouse’ controllers. The left side buttons on the steering wheel run the panel immediately in front of the driver. The right side buttons control the remainder of the dashboard. It’s almost overwhelming, and I can tell you for sure that you’d better set everything up right before you get moving. If something isn’t right, pull over and correct it.
For instance, there’s a sensor that supposedly won’t let you run off the road. I tried to move over on the shoulder to let a semi pass, but the darn thing strongly resisted me doing that. I finally gave up and stayed in the lane.

Just used the little oven for sticky bun breakfast. Hopefully you have a real stove and oven. Our friends have a MB Sprinter withe induction stove and convection oven. They hate them, and eat out 90% of the time!!!

Unloaded the Prevost Bus the last week and betcha drug out well over a thousand pounds, maybe more, of stuff I forgot was in the bays. It headed to Modesto California last night with owner and His Mechanisc a smiling. I was too. Kept that bad boy 11 years and only lost $7000 bucks on original purchase price. You and the Wife will certainly enjoy that RV for sure. Safe travels.
