When I hunted a place in Lampassas we had a guest policy. I took a TFF member out there who wanted a doe. 5 minutes into legal shooting time he got his doe.

My family had a place down by Charlotte Tx. years ago. Some of the best dove hunting you could ask for. Had guests down there almost every week end of the season. Sure miss those days.

I've been lucky enough to get invited to hunt on friend's leases/land many times over the years. Always very grateful to take a doe, pig, or whatever. I didn't have a family that hunted, so I was introduced by gracious people that recognized my interest and were generous with their resources. Whenever I have an opportunity, I try to pay it forward. I know A LOT of people that would love to hunt, but don't have the resources, knowledge or experience to do it on their own.

What he does for me and allow me to hunt on his family land is priceless. I buy a pallet of corn and something more personalized to their needs. Good loving people Through the whole year this allI look forward to doing, 3- 4 days. I feel I can never do enough for the honor to hunt on their property. Again, I am blessed and appreciate it almost to a fault.

Never been invited to hunt anyplace to deer hunt, hog hunt, or any kind of hunting. I used to know some farmers that had bottom land that let me squirrel, rabbit, quail, and dove hunt, but no deer or hogs. i would be happy to take a doe, hog, or whatever I was told I could.

I've never been invited to hunt. I guess that is sad now that I think about it. Been on leases almost my whole life, and never needed an invite. Have been invited on some Elk hunts, but that was a group of us and each had to pay their own way.

I get invited to at least one place every year to shoot does, culls, and some management deer.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I had an aquaintance (at the time) invite me out to one of his "guys hunt" for does a few of years back. He and his college buddies always went out to his family land in Mason at the end of each season and would take as many does and he felt was needed. I think that year we took 13 does over the 3 days we hunted. They always had a biggest doe pot going that everyone throws in $20. If you shot a button buck, you throw an extra $10 into the pot. I fortunately won the very first year I was invited, but felt bad taking everyone's money, being the "new guy". However, it was nice taking $180 home after that weekend. The place I hunt is MLD, so I invited him out that same year towards the MLD season to kill the remainder of the doe tags we had left over. He and I have since become great friends and have been invited back (his place and my place) each year.

I get invited to my buddies deer lease every year, they are MLD and I am there to fill tags on does and vertically/mass challenged bucks.

Yes, what is the point of owning something if you cant share why it brings you joy. Agree with and understand this on many fronts. I have shared a lease for 15 years with 18/20 guys and I really get satisfaction out of how much they all love the place. A different situation is a large new lease I got on couple years ago and the landowner has owned it 60 years and never allowed hunting except for a small handful of family members. The LO loves the place and takes great pride in it along with the very high quality deer hunting. One reason he finally allowed a few lease hunters is so he can share what he takes so much pride in. Its a very far cry from an "invite" hunt, but I do feel blessed to be allowed to write him a very large check to get in his gate.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH

Me and my friends all bird/waterfowl hunt on multiple leases, so we throw invites around when we have hot birds. Also when I was in the oilfield I went on some pretty cool hunts with vendors. Usually we killed some nice animals and had a lot of fun along the way.

I've invited several to come hunt. A couple got deer, one got some hogs. We've also hosted Wounded Warriors, but I got a little fed up when the last one mentioned 'This is my fourth deer hunt this year'.

I like helping them, but I know there were others that didn't get to hunt at all, and this lady and her husband had each been on four hunts. It just wasn't right.

I have offered to and had many people out over the years for hogs, does and cull bucks.......I have never offered to those that post about being ready to "help with a hog problem"........

I have taken a few from here hunting over the years and have had some great invites given to me also. When quail are booming I turn down several offers a year to bring dogs and hunt their ranch because I cant make it to all of them and get to hunt my place too so i stick with the ones that invite me out on good and bad years.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

I have been on both sides of the equation. When I owned some land in Stephens County, I invited friends to hunt with us on our land and I have friends that let me hunt their lands. I have never been in a financial position to afford a lease in TX so I have had to rely on the generosity of friends for hunting opportunities and I try to be a worthy friend by respecting their land as much as they do. By always trying to be gracious and respectful, I have been blessed to have SOMEPLACE to hunt almost anytime i want to. Currently, a friend has given me carte blanch access to his family's farm. I keep all the feeders stocked, cameras running and even built a new high end blind for his wife and have not killed a single deer yet. He is thrilled that I keep the hog problem to a minimum and I get the excitement of being out hunting whenever I want. Win-Win.
