Anyone using the 6mm ARC introduced by Hornady last year? Local shop has the ammo. I didn't look at the cost, and don't reload (yet?) And Natchez has an upper and ammo sale right now, or at least yesterday they did.
I was planning on getting a 350 Legend found and bought a couple boxes yesterday, now I'm rethinking, which is bad and what I always do.

6mmARC , meh….
Hornady pumped up that hype balloon and then nothing else was ever heard , zippo…. They released some load data that has anemic velocities , anybody who uses the data is getting faster readings, makes no sense.
Good ole 6.5 Grendel will cover ANYTHING hog hunting better than 6mm~ARC
350 Legend - I’ve not tried this one , seen lots of ammo on shelves for It , I generally avoid straight wall Cartridges for reloading , a PITA if you ask me….
This space is For Sale - inquire within ...

Me I would get the 350. Works great for hogs just like my Grendel does from what I hear. The Arc would probably do OK but mass does count.

If all my shooting were inside 150 yards I would take the 350, beyond that Grendel. I thought about the ATC but that is about it, already have 2 Grendels and they will reach as far hunting as I care to shoot. The 6mmARC might be better for target but will take the added frontal diameter of the Grendel or 350 over it. One place the 6mmARC does at least on paper hold up well is longer range targets with an AR. Past 300 yards perhaps 350 if memory serves right it will have less wind drift and drop than the Grendel. If I were wanting to ring steel at 800 to 1000 yards with an AR then I would put one together in 6mmARC
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Neither would be my choice but if I had to choose it would be the 6 because I already have .30 cal suppressors

I have had really good results with the 350 Legend on hogs. I have even found ammo for it during the shortage.

Thanks all for the thoughts and advice. Think I'll stick with the 350 Legend for now and re-investigate the ARC after a some more real world (non-writer) folks give it a run. Now I have an excuse to get a new can, too.
