I need some opinions. I'm going to be making numerous 120 mile round trips with a trailer in the next few weeks and I know I want to stiffen up the rear of my pick up. It sags way too much when loaded.( I'm used to a 1 ton)
What would you do?
Add leaf spring? Coil overs? Air bags?

Pretty sure he’s talking about trucks, not a Chevy. You can get an equalizer hitch set up for it like you see for travel trailers. Air bags is the only other option that doesn’t cause you sacrifice ride quality the rest of the time. After driving a 3/4 ton with #2500 helper springs for years, my new half ton seems awful soft.

Best solution would be helper bags. Cheap solution would be add a leaf. If I hauled a lot I’d do the bags but since it’s only occasional I just deal with it.

I feel the same way. I like the 1/2 ton, but it sure doesn't take much to squat it.

Bill, I've driven a Company owned GMC for over a decade. That has ruined me on white GMCs. Maybe one day, but that day is not today!

Add a leaf or a heavy load leaf pack and new rear shocks.

Air Bags, I wouldn’t have a truck without them.

Air Bags, I wouldn’t have a truck without them. Just make sure they don't sit in the front seat.
