I would feed corn year round. For me, I would feed protein year round also. Put up feed pens if you feed year round would be my first thing I did. I would also invest in a timered protein feeder that would allow me to budge and feed year round. It would also allow me to mix feed types for better results in different season. More flexibility and easier on the wallet in the long run. That amount of acreage with limited traffic, good food and a great water source can hold a lot of deer. Bedding cover and light traffic are the key. Keep you traffic down and you might be surprised at the results.

I’ve been feeding corn year round. Like everyone else, I’ve turned the timer down to just a few second. I also have some free choice protein feeders. This year I added mineral spots to the arsenal and they’ve been hitting it hard. Dicalcium phosphate with range mineral and salt. They love it.
