You see them every where. Those pics look like Live Oaks but its either that or Cedar Elms, need a leaf pic to be certain or a close up of the bark.

99.9% Live Oak. Look on the ground under them and see if you see any old acorns. If so its 100% Live Oak. They usually drop thier acorns in September/October around here so you wont see many on the ground but will probably see a few if you look close.

Live Oak. Good hardwood. Grilling, smoking or fire. All true. Dense. Takes forever to season. Don't even try splitting it with an axe.

As mentioned great firewood and some folks use it for cooking/smoking meats.
