I have a 2018 Dodge Ram 5.7. Been a great truck. A couple of weeks ago I got a check engine light. Stayed on for a few days. So I got out my trusty check engine light computer and plugged it in. It said I had either a emissions leak or bad gas. I deleted the codes and everything has been normal since then. No more lights and the truck runs great. I just wonder if I had taken it to the dealer what the outcome would have been? Mine was in Limp Mode, I dont think you can clear that without having something akin to the dealer software. Still ran and drove, but the throttle is governed to only allow x amount of power. It would run 90 miles an hour but took 5 miles to get there lol.

Yes I pulled and cleared what I could but the limp mode sets a different type of code which requires a dealer/service garage/very expensive software to reset.
Truck is running great now and I have some aftermarket tuning arriving monday that will make it much more better.

I don't respond to recalls. They gave me $3,075.00 or I wouldn’t have.

FCA was forced to give a settlement to their customers on it because aparently the recall effects some of the advertised points of the vehicle. I was happy with mine and if they had not had the cash offer I would not have taken it in.

So what were the advertised points that were affected?

So what were the advertised points that were affected? Mainly I think how emissions friendly the truck was, but the update did affect fuel economy etc. I dont know, they said if I filled out the paperwork I got $3,075 back so I did so. Im tuning it anyway so it doesnt matter to me. It was a huge emissions settlement including over 100,000 vehicles, somewhat similar to the trouble VW got in, but not as bad.
