Who in the world thought up avocado toast? I saw it advertised in the high rent places we went on this trip, and the fancy coffee shop here in lovely Santa Rosa New Mexico offers it.

Do any of you people eat avocado toast? Now, for the record, I like avocados. Just not on my toast.

There is a few places in Abilene that serve avocado toast. They are college kid hangouts.

We eat it all the time with a fried egg on top and I like it with a thin venison pan sausage patty . Same with chicken salad and sub Mayo for avocado. We have avocados just about every meal

Not really avacado toast. " Holy Guacamole" on toast. I buy the minis. Not as good as fresh made but great or a single serving.

been eating avocado toast for decades. the first time I ever had it was in San Antonio Texas in the 80s...so I'm thinking it was originally a Texas thing because at that time I was all over the country and I can't remember ever hearing/seeing/eating avocado toast anywhere else.
I can remember it was toast, avocado, a fried egg and enough hot sauce to cure a hangover, great stuff

Never heard of Avocado toast?

First time I had Avocado toast was at a little deli in Victorville California in the late 70's. There was a deli called Hugo's Deli and it was owned by a man called Don Farrarese. Wife and I didn't know what we wanted so he started giving us samples of various things on display, one was an Avocado Toast. All I'll say is we ate there once a week until we moved back to Texas. Damn it was good.

What's the difference between avocado toast and guacamole smeared on toasted bread? Same difference as guac and hipster "avocado spread"?

I had avacado toast at a nice restaurant, I was a guest. It was served on diagonals, cut from a small bread loaf, buttered and toasted to bordeline burned. It was not highly seasoned, just basically smashed avacado.

Tried it once. Enough for me.

My daughter loves it, has that for breakfast several times a week. It looks good to me.
