Getting discontinued notices from Midway on certain primers I had alerts on. Not that I'm ever going to pay $379 plus shipping and hazmat for 1K primers but...

I think it's just a reset for Midway. I'm guessing they're dumping all the people's email alerts this way by changing the sku thereby forcing buyers to make new subscriptions to out of stock items. I bet that means they'll come back at $459 per 1K.

I don't see prices coming down anytime soon, and I don't think Midway is marking prices up a lot.

I got the same messages for the 5K primers. I am wondering if its pricing related but more importantly if they are doing that to limit orders to 1K also.

I believe that MidwayUSA, just like everyone else is getting that greedy taste in their mouth and not wanting to honor those prices . I guess we’ll see in the coming future !

I agree although I do not hate Midway. I mostly just started the thread as a reference; somewhat of a road sign we can use in the future. We shall see...

I'm not ready to get on Midway's case about gouging just yet. I keep a pretty close eye on them and they have had almost nothing, powder, primers, bullets, brass, and equipment is running short too. The only things I've gotten from them in months was on notification emails and I logged in to place the order as soon as I saw the notice.

They simply don't have much at all to sell. Hard to keep the doors open with no inventory. So yeah, I can see why prices might be up a bit.

The original idea here was why they are discontinuing things we all want, not bashing the prices.

What they are really doing though isn’t discontinuing anything but instead cancelling back orders they allowed customers to purchase, only to cancel and then sell at jacked up prices.

Y’all are fooling yourself if you think they are doing anything besides that. Screw Midway, Bruno’s and cheaper than dirt. I hope they choke on their profits because I’m not buying stuff from any of those folks any longer.

Lots of places....MidSouth, Grafs, Creedmoor Sports, 3rd gen, Sinclair, etc.

My guess is that they have recieved prices increases from the manufacturers and distributors. If thier product costs them more, then naturally, they are going to sell for more too.

I’d agree with you but they don’t and didn’t allow back order on everything it was just on stuff they had coming or ordered/committed.

The discontinue on primers was on the 5000 cases. My guess is now just not selling in those. Just 1000 packs. Can make a lot more by breaking down the 5000 pack and selling 5 units instead of one and for more. They still have 1000s listed just no longer the 5K

It's not just Midway, there's lots of other on-line retailers that are posting "for sale, in stock" items, for decent prices, but when it comes check-out time, I am getting the "out of stock; back order OK" message. It will be interesting to see it the price changes from the original order price to some higher price. I don't think any of them are legally obligated to honor the original price, and I fear that the days of moral obligations to honor prices have fallen by the wayside.

Its not just midway all of them r doing it and once u get the new price and reorder shipping is also more and no more free shipping with purchase that is history
