I seems as if it finally settled down here.

Bells, TX! Great town full of great people, lived there until I was 12, moved away in 1990. Couldn’t imagine a better place to spend my childhood.

We used to play Bells in every sport from the time I was 5 until I graduated high school. I remember my dad taking me to Barbara’s burgers too. Small burgers, but really good. Is it still around?

Sadly Barbara's is gone. Sure wish it was still going. I ate a lot that came out of that place.

You are probably the same age as my youngest son and probably went to school with him!

Just may be. The biggest snow flakes I ever saw came down in April of 1974. They didn't stick but were sure pretty coming down.

I looked at your profile and sure enough I remember you helped coach our baseball and football teams. I’ll PM you, small world.

Thin is the kind of weather that makes me glad that I retired out in the country.. I'll be spending more and more time outside. I only knocked the tops off with my mowing today. I will go back and finish the job tomorrow. There is always something that keeps me out and about.

I don't plan to touch my plastic plants.

It's calling for 34° at the closest town (Longview) so that means it will be close to 32° out where we live. I still have my covers set out by my tomatoes and a tarp to cover my strawberries. My watermelons are ready to transplant, but they will have to wait a few days. Glad I waited on planting my green beans and purple hull peas. It was 37° Monday (this) morning.

Freeze warnings for our area, but I doubt it, the old mesquites are green.

We're now under a freeze warning. Forecasted low of 31. Tarp time for the veggie's.

I remember sitting in the stands of one of my son's baseball games in April while eating a hotdog during a snow flurry. It just didn't seem right.

Enjoy the cool air while you still can. It’ll be hotter than Hades for about 7 months soon enough.
