Hunted and camped at the Chaparral back in December and had 2 cars full of illegals bust through the high fence right by camp. BP and the staff tracked all day and finally found the groups.
I’m talking with one of the hunters that morning, turned out he was also BP in that area and just happened to get drawn. Said the problem was getting worse by the day no matter what you heard on the news. It’s constant. I guess that hwy the chap sits on is a major corridor for smugglers. They either are going to pick up or swing back the other way with a car load. We were tailgated by an LEO every time our tires hit the pavement.
The worse part about it all is that the folks they catch are just sent back in most most cases unless they’ve committed a more serious crime like rape or murder. Same guys get caught time and time again with no penalty.
That trip was eye opening to say the least.

Same boat and believe me, ever so thankful. 15 years on the same place. Only sighting was a ranch worker who was looking for a new place for whatever reason. Talk about added value? This one aspect is HUGE.

This last season for me in Encinal was pretty quiet. That being said, over the last 3 months it has gotten really bad. Daily occurrences on the ranch and LOTS of foot traffic.

Im not saying it isnt getting worse, but we went down this past weekend and stopped for lunch on the way home at our favorite Mexican food place. This is the first time we have ever had a waitress that spoke English.

There has to be a consequence for the illegals to change their actions and this president is not going to change anything. Working practically your entire life to pay for a place and then having it overrun by illegals is not my idea of retirement bliss. If D. C. was being overrun by the same illegals, there would be cops, BP, and National Guard everywhere. I have a hard time believing there are not more ranchers adhering to the plan of the 3 S's than there are not carrying out that plan. People will only take so much. Not saying I am an advocate, but desperate people do desparate things.

We hunted a ranch back in the mid 80's south of San Angelo and while that's not considered deep south Texas we saw illegals passing through fairly often, The ranch owner was a surgeon out of San Angelo and he told us that if we saw them to shoot them and leave them lay. He said they die on the trip all of the time and nobody would be looking for them anyway and he was totally serious. We would have never done that but did stay armed 24/7 when we were there. That being said I'd say that it's not all folklore.

My wife put a bird feeder in our yard and soon we had bird crap on everything, even her pretty new car. I told her it will continue as long as you feed and fill the bird bath. I'm not nearly as well versed on this issue as a lot of others, but I have to wonder if new/replaced sections of the border wall may be moving their entry points around from where they were in the past. There may be a lot of people who haven't seen it in the past who are now because they've been forced to cross in different areas. Conversely, others may be seeing less activity because of better border walls in their areas.
