THF I'm looking for some help If possible, My Son in Law who is being honorably discharged from The USMC this month was scammed (he is very trusting, bought off someone online) Any help in getting his rifle refurbished before he comes home would be greatly appreciated. Below is from an email to POF looking for help refinishing the rifle they said unfortunately due to the age of the rifle they could/would not be able to take on the project. If there is anyone in DFW that does this kind of work and can help I would greatly appreciate it.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing regarding my 21 year old Son In Law Jared Bush being taken advantage of while serving in the USMC. He was sold a rifle that he was led to believe was a 5.56 POF. He paid over $2700.00 to a gentleman he thought was his friend. It took months and at first we though he was scammed out of his hard earned money altogether. Finally his "friend" said he was shipping the POF 5.56 however when it was recieved to our local FFL it was franken rifle as i call them, a crappy Bear Creek lower with a dated and battle worn (and not in a good way) POF upper. Needless to say I was very upset that this happened to him, especially while in service to our country. Today I spoke with Luis in your customer service dept. He directed me to put this email together explaining the situation.
My hope is that by reaching out to your company we could come up with plan to refurbish this rifle (it does have a spray painted eotech and surefire light that i would love to have refinished if possible) to a better than new condition with possibly a Marine Corp. Logo, His Last name and rank. He has no idea I am contacting you all and I would love to have something for him at the completion of his Service to our country in March of 2021. Any help in surprising my son in law with the rifle of his dreams would be greatly appreciated. Please see attached photos.

Wow, think I'd be taking a ride and finding this "friend" and getting some money back. I'd be willing to bet that isn't a real EoTech either. You might want to contact them with serial number to confirm.

Had an awesome experience with Steve today Sarge's Business partner at HRHCombatArms and decided to ad a Santan Tactical Billet Lower in leu of the trash it came with, a Magpul Stock, Upgraded Controls, Anti Roll Pins as well as the Custom Cerakote 3 color Tiger Stripe Camo like one they had on display. He assured me when he was finished it would look like one of his $3000 Custom Rifle Builds. Can't wait to see this thing finished!!! Jared is gonna be floored!
