I’m looking for a fishing guide for a crappie trip to Lake Fork and another trip to Texoma for some striper fishing. Does anyone have any first hand experience that can recommend a solid guide? Our last trip to Fork was a dud and the guy was pretty much an idiot roflmao

If we need to go to another lake I’m ok with that to, I take my pops and customers on 15 plus trips a year so if it’s a good set up they have a solid customer here. Feel free to PM me if needed.

At Texoma, you need to check with the guide on how you will fish and make sure it is what you want. Some are live bait, some are chunk and wind artificial baits, and then there are the trollers. JD Lyle is top notch on Live Bait, and so is Steve Barnes. Chris Carey at Striper Express is very good at using artificials. The ones that have to troll to catch fish, well just flip a coin.

At Fork, Gary Paris or Mark Standridge are solid bets.

If considering Tawakoni I use Matt Cartwright. Striper, Hybrid, and Sand Bass. You’re going to catch fish. A lot of fish.

Matt is one of the best fishermen I have been on a boat with. Andrew Taylor is great as well.

Ive got a buddy that guides Whitney, Aquilla, Waco, Richland Chambers and all small lakes in between if you ever wanted to get over that way. Trophy catfish, striper and crappie are his main targets.

Houston Guide Service on Facebook.

He is on here and TFF as well. Mike9582 is his username

Crappie Guide on Fork: Cameron Burnett or Gary Paris or Jacky Wiggins

Texoma Guides : JD Lyle or Dan Barnett. I think the March / April funk is about gone from Texoma, but usually anytime you go you can catch all you want if you have a experienced guide. Lake is full of striper, You don't catch the 16 to 20 lbs on topwater like you used to back in the 80's , but you can easily fill a box with keepers.

Has anyone used Mike Beeson on Texoma for striper? I’m looking at booking in May and someone recommended him to my wife.
