Folks here are smart enough to not be afraid of something with a 99.5% recovery rate. Have all 315 of you come to that conclusion?

Folks here are smart enough to not be afraid of something with a 99.5% recovery rate. Have all 315 of you come to that conclusion? I haven't spoken with every single person in town, just observing what I see when I go in somewhere. Pretty easy to see the difference.

Just got my first Pfizer shot now waiting in case Annie Philaxis shows up. My job involves travel and routine interactions with humans.

My personal physician who I have known since we were friends in high school and married my cousin did not recommend that I get a shot. He said it was to new of a vaccine without enough research and trials. He said I was not overweight and healthy enough not to take it.. ................... Me and my wife have both chose not to receive the vaccine for now.

It's just the slickers that are worried about it. Go to a store in DFW and everyone has masks on, go to a store out here and you will be the only one wearing one. Folks here are smart enough to not be afraid of something with a 99.5% recovery rate. That’s because of businesses requiring masks. If it was made optional a lot fewer people would wear a mask.

Some people need a mask on just to talk. "Say it don't spray it". I'd still like to see my cook wear a mask. I like my food the way I ordered and no extra sauces.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Most big box stores do not have a mask mandate anymore, and yet, 75-90% of people in the store are still wearing a mask. I don't see that in small town USA anywhere, but thats one of the differences between big town and small town usa. To each their own. I don't mask shame anyone, but don't come at me shaming me for not wearing one (no one has, ever). I have to fly for my parents 50th anniversary next weekend, not looking forward to that mask wearing time, but I believe Ohio is much stricter than Texas right now so I feel masks will be a thing for that trip.

I will second the mask wearing in dfw area is still really high. I still see people wearing them alone in cars, or outside walking by themselves. It is beyond ludicrous.
Most big box stores do not have a mask mandate anymore, and yet, 75-90% of people in the store are still wearing a mask. I don't see that in small town USA anywhere, but thats one of the differences between big town and small town usa.
To each their own. I don't mask shame anyone, but don't come at me shaming me for not wearing one (no one has, ever). I have to fly for my parents 50th anniversary next weekend, not looking forward to that mask wearing time, but I believe Ohio is much stricter than Texas right now so I feel masks will be a thing for that trip.
