 Public land hunting in decatur area?

I have not hunted in years and would like to try this year. Is there any public land for hunting in the decatur area? Is it shotgun only in this area? I have not hunted in 15 years and NM was the last place I hunted.

Google up the LBJ Grasslands. Shotgun, muzzleloader and archery only.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

There are some big deer up there
After you get past opening weekend there ain’t many out there
