Curious if anyone has had both and has opinions! Looking for one for my new 6.5 Hells Canyon Speed thats in the mail. Was thinking of the 4.5-14x40 or the 50.

If the HD glass on the VX3 is the same as the VX5/6 it will be excellent.

My VX-3i glass is not very impressive compared to my 2.5-8x vx3 glass.
Upon us all, upon us all, a little rain must fall

How do you like it? I've found the best price I can on one and may go ahead and place the order.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

How is the tracking on the HD? That’s my biggest complaint on the VX 3 series of scopes. Once they are set they seem to hold zero but I get nervous about adjusting too much. My VX5 tracks much better.

I went with a VX-3i. Mainly due to me not liking target style turrets. I'm putting together a traditional rifle and wanted a traditional style scope.

Get the 4.5x14 50mm see if you can find a Mark 4 Tatactial you won't be sorry. The Mark 4 has the M1 turrets for dialing you long range shot. I think Midway has them for $700.00.

I bought the VX3HD, 4.5-14 x 40, CDS-ZL The clarity of the glass is identical to my VX5HD. I had a VX-3i, sold it. I wanted more X, and to me it didn't have the clarity of my VX5HD 3-15 x 44, or VX6 3-18 x 50.

I had to send my VX3i in for warranty repair. Put it back on my Kimber 3006 and the scope seems ok now but im also not trying to dial for distance either.
