No matter how many I take on my property - they keep coming back. I hit them hard at the beginning of this year... so much so that for the first time since I can remember... I didn't see any hogs appear on the cellular cams for several days. Considering how much I enjoy hog hunting - I got a bit worried that I finally hunted them enough to put a meaningful dent in their population. I am probably one of the few that don't mind hogs on my property as it gives me consistent hunting opportunities throughout the year. After not seeing them on the cams for a few days, one boar showed up... and then another larger boar... and now two different sounders with babies are showing up. These hogs that moved in must not have had much hunting pressure as they are showing up more during daylight hours. Felt kind of silly worrying that I had taken too many hogs

Felt kind of silly worrying that I had taken too many hogs I've seen that cycle many times on my place. Hit 'em hard and constant, and they go away. Sometimes for months... I'm in one of those dry spells now. Aside from a couple of boars making the rounds, I've not seen a sounder since deer season was over. I have faith they'll be back.

As a friend once, (several times), told me... put the camera down & shoot em... Me health twas getting bad @ time, twas usually mile or so back in, & trying talk him inta going hog hunten... He had a lease, same one i was on, we built metal shelter... He'd invite me for hunt or two... like the rig ya using... My AR has mil-dot scope over & green lazer under, set up for close range... Feeder & food plot by creek, they followed, small grove of trees,so had solor lights set up in oval shape, ta right of homemade lean on tree ladder, & open field by oak tree had another feeder & small food plot ta left, roughly 20yrd shot both ways... Does & fawns seen every year... š keep after em, ta land owners they a pain, ta hunters, an opertunity... Still say, biggest problem with hogs tis land owners see $$$$ just like with the deer leases... Got on deer lease for the 24-7-365 hog hunts... & if some one needed help with hog problems, helped out, my time, gas, guns, ammo...

What scope is sitting ontop of that lever action? Sightmark Photon. Not the greatest of what's available, but works well for my purpose and bought it cheap on eBay as an open box return. It's a short range 375 Winchester so all I ever need it the scopes built in IR.

How has yours worked? I want to mount it on a .22LR or .22Mag and do head shots on hogs and coyotes
