Cut out the gills when they are on the stringer or when you throw them in the ice chest. It will help kick start the blood exodus. It is what I do for redfish.

Those are some really fat females! I am surprised you still have that many that havent spawned. Here in the DFW area our Sandbass spawn is probably 90% over. I am catching 90% males in the creeks now and what very few females I am seeing are all spawned out. I will probably make one last go at it tomorrow afternoon and depending on how that goes I may end up abandoning the creeks and focus on the main lake after that.

That's a nice haul!

Cutting the gills is good advice. I put the fillets in ice water with some salt and it gets a lot of blood out.
